Cenospheres are used to reduce weight and increase the strength of concrete, resins, plastics, ceramics, paints, coatings and many other products including house panels & siding (as shown). Other benefits include: increased filler loading, lower porosity and viscosity, reduced shrinkage, fireproofing, thermal insulation and lubricity.

GRADES OF CENOSPHERES

EconoStar (ES Series)

CenoStar’s standard grade ES Series has many uses. It is the most versatile and lowest cost cenosphere. Depending on customer requirements we have (4) grades ranging in size. The color is light to medium shades of grey.

High Alumina (HAL Series)

These cenospheres have a high Alumina content (32-40%). It is especially suited to high temperature applications including refractory, foundry, coatings & flame retardants.

KZ (KZ Series)

Our KZ cenospheres derive from Kazakhstan. It is a near-white product and can be used in applications where color is important.

WhiteStar (WS Series)

This is the whitest and strongest cenosphere available. It is used as a color and/or weight lightening agent. Improves compressive, tensile, and flexural strength.

Custom Engineered Spheres

We will custom design and develop cenospheres to meet your specific needs based on: particle distribution, color, density, and other performance characteristics. For example: High Alumina grade can be sieved to a top-end 160 microns particle size.
